‘Golf Course Industry’ Increases Email Newsletter Frequency, But Reduces Items

Golf Course Industry magazine is expanding and contracting its Fast & Firm email newsletter. The B2B newsletter is being transformed from a weekly into one that appears three times a week. The newsletter will offer fewer items per edition, but will still be available on golfcourseindustry.com. It was a biweekly until shifting to weekly frequency in 2020.

The B2B newsletter is being transformed from a weekly into one that appears three times a week, but offers fewer items per edition. The GCI team determined “we were giving subscribers a bloated product, writes Editor Guy Cipriano. “The Dec. 13 edition included 15 items and our metrics indicate subscribers develop click fatigue around the fourth or fifth item. ”These items included a column, new podcasts, a course and people news. ”Unfortunately, individual pieces don’t always function effectively as a group, and the newsletter failed to meet our expectations,”
