Email marketing platform Emma has launched its SMS marketing product, which enables businesses to use text messaging to reach customers. The platform hopes to help businesses “cut through the noise” and make quicker contact with their clients. According to Emma, text messages are more likely to be opened and read than traditional email marketing campaigns. SMS also offers businesses the potential to collect feedback quickly, send appointment reminders and promote new products. Pricing for the SMS service is yet to be announced. Emma’s founder, Clint Smith, said he expected SMS to be a “top-performing” channel for sales within the next 12 months.
